Yana Gagne serves as the Chief Business Development Officer of Aurigen Reinsurance Company.

Before founding Aurigen, Ms. Gagne was a member of the senior management team of Employers Reassurance in Canada. She joined the Employers Reinsurance Group in 1998 as Assistant Vice President, Pricing of Employers Reassurance Canada Management Services, Inc. In 2001, she was promoted to Vice President, Business Development, responsible for the development and execution of its marketing and sales strategies. She remained in that position through 2006. During her tenure, the Canadian operation achieved a market share of in excess of 20%. During her employment with Employers Reassurance Canada, she served on the Executive Council of the Canadian Reinsurance Conference as well as the committee for the development of the 2003 Canadian Reinsurance Guidelines.

She spent the first three years of her career in the reinsurance division of Manulife Financial working principally as Senior Pricing Analyst, pricing individual life reinsurance business opportunities in North America and the UK, and performing analyses of business results. In 1989 she joined the Canadian operation of Reinsurance Group of America as Pricing Analyst. She was promoted several times by the company, and in 1995, became the Assistant Vice President, Pricing, with responsibility for reinsurance pricing of individual life reinsurance and, ultimately, treaty negotiations. Ms. Gagne was instrumental in the development of RGA's market share, which grew from less than 5% to approximately 20% during her tenure.

She graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1986 with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree and has over 20 years experience in the life reinsurance industry.

Ms. Gagne is an active supporter of the arts, including serving on the board of a not-for-profit arts organization.
