Caspar Young is Managing Director of Aurigen Reinsurance Limited and the Chief Group Services Officer of Aurigen Group.

Mr. Young is actively involved in Bermuda's long-term (life) insurance market. Mr. Young is one of the founding members of the BILTIR (Bermuda International Long Term Insurer and Reinsurer) association. The association actively engages the Bermuda Monetary Authority on topics that affect long-term companies. Mr. Young publishes and speaks on insurance issues, most recently holding a session on regulatory convergence at the 2011 Canadian Reinsurance Conference.

Prior to joining Aurigen, Mr. Young worked for Mercer in its Health and Benefits Practice. He took on positions of increasing responsibility during his 18 year tenure culminating in the role as a National Partner and Head of the Toronto Health and Benefits Consulting Practice.

Mr. Young graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1990 with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree double major in Actuarial Science and Statistics with distinction and on the dean's honour list. Mr. Young became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 1993 and has his CERA (Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst) designation.
