Heather Cooper is Vice President and Controller of Aurigen Reinsurance Limited.

Ms. Cooper began her career in Bermuda over 14 years ago as an Audit Manager for Ernst and Young with oversight for 60 insurance and reinsurance companies. Since 1997 she has worked for a number of Bermuda companies including Center Solutions, Harrington International, and Validus Reinsurance. Ms. Cooper’s responsibilities increased as she took on more senior roles from Assistant Controller to Controller to Senior Vice President and Finance Director at Validus Reinsurance. In addition to insurance accounting, Heather has experience in a variety of areas including initial public offerings, statutory filings, operations management, human resources, and treasury. She is familiar with a number of accounting standards and BMA reporting requirements.

Ms. Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Victoria, is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA).
