Pine Brook Road Partners, LLC (“Pine Brook”) is a New York-based private equity firm established in 2006 by a team of experienced private equity professionals to make business building and growth capital investments, primarily in the financial services and energy sectors.

Pine Brook expects to commit $100 million to $200 million of equity capital to each portfolio company.

The partners leading Pine Brook’s financial services investment practice are William Spiegel and Robert Glanville. Over the course of their careers, the partners at Pine Brook have invested more than $2.5 billion in over 20 financial services companies such as Arch Capital Group Ltd., Catlin Group Limited., Dime Bancorp, Inc., FGIC Corporation, Lancashire Holdings Limited, Mellon Bank Corp., Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd., and RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd.

As principals, the Pine Brook team have started over 40 companies and sat on over 27 public company boards.
